“Good healthy food for all”: Examining FoodShare Toronto´'s approach to critical food guidance through a reflexivity lens

By building community-based food systems informed by transformative ideologies and principles, Community-Based Food Organisation (CBFOs) can be understood as agents of critical guidance from the bottom-up. This paper focuses on notion reflexivity pivotal to implementation in CBFOs. Reflexivity is defined capacity actors organisations establish well self-reflect upon key system principles scale out these across communities. To examine its connection guidance, this retraces story FoodShare Toronto, a CBFO whose core mission foster “good healthy for all”. Going through different stages life-course, highlights ways which organisation reframes values principle time how it attempts partnerships programs. Learning FoodShare´s trajectory, lessons strengthen vehicles emancipatory guidance.
